n addition to rearranging the furnishings, the home is also evaluated for minor repairs, landscaping, painting and decor updates. Some furniture may need to be removed and closets de-cluttered so that the house shows like a model home.

s a homeowner it is difficult to be completely objective about your home. The same personal touches that make a house a home, can be a hindrance when the goal is to attract potential buyers.

he overall look of the home should be attractive and inviting to most people who view it. Buyers must be able to envision themselves living there. Clean, open and inviting clutter-free spaces appeal to all people, but it is also important to de-personalize each room so that potential buyers can make their own emotional connection to the house and “mentally furnish” the rooms in their own style.

eginning at the front door, we will look at your home and evaluate what adjustments could be made to improve curb appeal.

will walk with the homeowner starting outside, and with an impartial eye and a candid approach, I will suggest minor repairs and updates that could be made to increase the value of your property, and attract potential buyers.

any people are unable to look past small cosmetic issues, that could be fixed relatively inexpensively before the house goes on the market. A few days work and a few hundred dollars can make a huge difference in attracting buyers.

will prepare a written report for you which will include all the improvements we talked about during the walk-through. This may include painting, changing cabinet hardware, de-cluttering rooms and closets as well as a list of items that should go into storage while the house is on the market.
I can also provide you with recommendations for painters, plumbers and other people to help you complete those repairs that you can’t complete yourself. The average walk-through takes 2 hours.

nce you have completed some or all of the repairs and updates that we talked about during the consultation, I will come back and arrange each room so that it looks appealing to potential buyers. During the initial consultation, I can give you an estimate for the total staging costs.
